Spring Kitten Season donations sought for AnimaLovers cat rescue

Hello! I am collecting supply donations for AnimaLovers, The Animal Welfare League of the Greater Capital District, because their foster homes need your help to raise healthy and happy kittens for their future families!

Every Spring brings with it both warmer weather and the birth of too many kittens for rescues to keep up with… Kitten Season! AnimaLovers is entirely volunteer run and relies on foster homes to care for kittens, as well as kind supporters to donate supplies and monetary gifts.

Here is a list of the most-needed kitten supplies (canned food and KMR is the #1 priority), but if you have any cat supplies you would like to donate not listed here please let me know. We have plenty of adult cats in our program who rely on donations as well!

  • Powdered or liquid canned kitten milk replacement (KMR)
  • Canned pate kitten food (Fancy Feast Kitten, Purina One Healthy Kitten, Iams Perfect Portions Kitten, Royal Canin Mother & Baby, etc.)
  • Dry kitten food (Purina One Healthy Kitten, Iam’s Proactive Health Kitten, Meow Mix Kitten, Royal Canin Mother & Baby, etc.)
  • Non-clumping clay litter (fragrance free)
  • Clumping clay litter (fragrance free)
  • Nursing bottle kits for kittens
  • Small to medium litter pans
  • Puppy training pads
  • Baby wipes (fragrance free)
  • Small fleece blankets
  • Cat toys, towels, cat beds, dishes
  • Small hard plastic cat carriers

Supply donation can be dropped off Tuesday through Thursday at my office in Higbee 119. Please feel free to email me at h.dickinson@hvcc.edu with any questions! I am also happy to pick up donations over lunch breaks.

Monetary gifts can be made directly to AnimaLovers through their PayPal link, and online supply donations through Amazon and Chewy Wish Lists, available at: www.animalovers.org/donate.

If you are interested in becoming a foster home for AnimaLovers, please let me know as well! AnimaLovers is always in need of new volunteers for all types and ages of foster cats and kittens, as well as adoption clinic volunteers.

On behalf of AnimaLovers and all the sweet kitties they are able to help due to community support, thank you so much for your attention and support!
